Training Seminars

The Brighton Marathon Training Seminars – 2012

For the last two editions of the Brighton Marathon we have hosted training seminars in the build up to race day. These training events were available to all standards of runner from absolute beginners to experienced Marathon runners.

For Brighton Marathon 2012 we are planning on holding more training seminars held at the official Brighton Marathon race hotel - The Hilton Brighton Metropole. Our October day was a great success and the date in January is again for all abilities of runner where we will provide up to date information and answer any questions you have on the event next April, bring in experts to present to you about your training, your diet, how to stay injury free and give advice on how to train through the winter.

This time round we will be tailoring the sessions towards different finishing goals. If you are new to running or are looking at completing the Brighton Marathon in 5 to 6 hours then the morning session is for you. If you have run a Marathon before or are looking for a finishing time of under 4hrs 30, then the afternoon session is for you.

We also have some key presenters from the world of running and we can already confirm top Nutritionist Nick Morgan will be presenting and will also be on hand to discuss and answer all your eating and nutrition questions.

There will be goody bags for all attendees, including some goodies from our event partners Powerade, ICONIQ and CLIF Bar. Our official sportswear partner Saucony and the Brighton Marathon Store will be at each of the training days to answer any questions you have on your running gait and training shoes.

There will also be an opportunity to try on the exclusive Brighton Marathon running range. And finally our official physiotherapist partner Body Rehab Studios will have a team of Physios at each day to help answer any questions you have on previous running injuries and offer advice on how to stay injury free.

For more information on the range of topics please see below. To book your session please click here – the price is £15 per session, per person plus booking fee. N.B. Non Brighton Marathon runners are also very welcome!
