Current News
Less than three weeks after the 2011 race, entries are still pouring in at several hundred a day. For our small organising team this is very gratifying, although the post-race period is almost as busy as the final countdown period. Hundreds of email queries have to be dealt with (please bear with us), debriefs have to be held and improvements identified in priority order.
You will understand I’m sure, why some of the team are pretty tired and yet we know that we owe all those who ran on April 10th, as well as all those keen to enter for 2012, a service, a response that does not keep them wondering about anything.
One of the great ironies of organising a race, is that while we get a lot of congratulatory messages, a good deal of incoming information is about what could be improved upon, or sometimes what went wrong for people; we take all of these very seriously but it has been good to read that what we learned and adjusted after Year 1, was well received in Year 2.
More news will be added in coming weeks and months, but for now, rest assured that the Grounded Events Company team will not let up in their efforts to make the Brighton Marathon, the best in the UK.
